10. Optional telemetry in Tu WebMaster plugins

/wp:heading wp:paragraph

Some Tu WebMaster plugins may offer anonymous, optional telemetry. It is disabled by default and communicates externally only after a website administrator gives explicit consent in the plugin settings.

/wp:paragraph wp:paragraph

TopBar Slider may send weekly: a random installation identifier, WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, locale, selected display and animation modes, and yes/no indicators for custom CSS, Elementor and WooCommerce use. Its sole purpose is prioritizing compatibility, support and product improvements.

/wp:paragraph wp:paragraph

Telemetry does not include the website URL, administrator or visitor data, announcement content, CSS content or browser user agent. The identifier is stored as a one-way hash. IP addresses are not stored in the telemetry database, but standard security and hosting logs may process them temporarily.

/wp:paragraph wp:paragraph

Telemetry records are kept for up to 180 days. You can withdraw consent by unchecking the option: this stops future transmissions and requests deletion of the installation record. Uninstalling makes the same request when telemetry was enabled.
